All universities in Germany is very popular in whole Europe, and third most popular overall the World. Only USA and UK Universities enrolled most international students in each year. Germany is very characterized by different variety because of its universities.

There are following 5 top universities of Germany:

Technical university of Munich: The Technical University of Munich (TUM) is a research University with campuses in Garching, Munich and Freising-Weihenstephan. The University of Manchin is one of the largest technical University of Germany. In 1868 it is founded by “King Ludwig” after that it reaches at its greatest and highest place in the Germany as technical University of Munich. 


In 2000 the Establishment of Weihenstephan Science center for life and food sciences, land use and Environment (WZW) belonging to the Technical University of Munich. In this university according to 2015 survey, strength of students is 39, 081 and total staff is around 9,846.

RWTH Aachen University: The University of RWTH stands for Rheinisch-Westfalische Technische Hochsheule Aachen University. It is a research University which located in Aachen Germany. 

This university was established in the 10th October, 1870 in Aachen, Germany. In 2007, RWTH University choosen by the DFG as one of the nina German university of Excellence for its better future concept. RWTH University is also a member of Idea League, a strategic alliance of four leading universities of technology in Europe.

Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU): LMU or the University of Munich is a public research University which is located in Munich, Germany. This university is included in the oldest universities of Germany which is established in Ingolstadt in 1472 by Duke Ludwig IX of Bavaria-Landshut, then it is moved in 1800 to Landshut by King Maximilian of Bavaria, and officially this university named Ludwig-Maximillians-university by King Maximilian. 

In this university almost 50,542 students enrolled and 15% are international students, and 16,943 staff members according to the survey of 2015.

Heidelberg University: Heidelberg University is a public research University located in the Heidelberg, Baden-Wurttmberg, Germany. This university was found in 1386 in Germany. This University is the oldest in Germany and 5th oldest in Central Europe. It was the third university established in the Holy Roman Empire. 

Now, in 2016 this university offers 12 faculties and multiple degree programs at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels in more than 100 disciplines. According to the latest survey of this University there are 30,873 student enrolled and 5,930 academic staff is working.

Free University of Berlin: The Free University of Berlin often abbreviated as FU Berlin. FU is the most popular university in the Germany and it is a research university which is located in Berlin and one of the most prominent universities in Germany. 

Internationally this university known for its research in the humanities and social sciences and also for the natural and life sciences. In this university total 34,518 students, 459 professors and 4,200 Administrative staff working.
