Get the information about education system in UK. Education System in United Kingdom is the best Education System. Basically there are five stages of education in the education system in UK: Early stage, primary stage, secondary stage, Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE).
1) Early stage(nursery):
Firstly, there were just four stages of Education in UK education system but new stage “Early education” was added from the September 2010 in England and this stage is also known as “Nursery education”. According to this new stage of education students at the age of 3 to 4 years have to go to attend free nursery for 15 hours a day and this is just for one year.
2) Primary stage:
The age of children in this stage is from 5 to 11. This stage covers basically three age ranges. These are as follows, (under five) nursery, (age 5-7) infant and (age 7 -11 or 12) juniors are included. These 6 years of a student are very important and the main purpose of the primary education is to develop the interest for studies and increase the literacy among all students.
3) Secondary stage:
Age from 11 to 16 students covers this stage. All students must have to get primary and secondary education these two stages are mandatory/ compulsory in UK but after that in the age of 16 study is optional and students can choose their favorite subjects and courses after completing secondary education.
4) Further Education (FE):
After completing secondary education there are many options for students to get admission in the further education. Now in this stage subjects are not compulsory for them, they can get admission according to their interest and skills. We can also say that this stage is “post- compulsory” for the sake of getting knowledge. There is no age limit in this stage but usually it took 3 to 4 years to complete further education. Before going to college or university students have to clear this stage it is must for students.
5) Higher Education (HE):
This is very important stage and when students get admissions in higher education then they have to focus on any one area or subject of interest. In this stage different diplomas are included according to the skills of a student. Like they can be doctor, teacher, engineer, businessman etc. Through this higher education students took their steps towards the professional field. After that they can enhance their subject or profession. For example if a student becomes doctor after completing MD then he can do specialization in any one area of doctorate like heart specialist, brain specialist, gynecologist etc.
These are the basic few main points and introduction of the system of education in United Kingdom. In each stage of education there are some entry requirements except early stage and you can also share this
In the UK, schools are provided by local authorities (state schools) and are free for all students, or are independent schools charge fees to parents of students. all children must participate in full-time education until the age of 16. Many students stay in school after this age to prepare for college or other careers. In independent schools, most students stay in school until the age of 18 and almost all students go to college after leaving school.
